Modeling & Care Notes

The matte black finish is ready to use out of the package. If you want to paint it: lightly sand the surface first with 400-grit sandpaper for better adhesion, then apply a thin primer coat (grey or black rattle-can primer works). Acrylic paints over primer is the standard approach.

For weathering: dry-brush a little mid-grey or silver along the raised edges to simulate worn paint. A thin rust-brown wash in the recessed areas adds age. The result looks significantly more realistic than the stock piece.

Store in a dust-free case or bag when not on the layout. The plastic is lightweight but not fragile — it won’t snap under normal handling.
